Greenway Automotive Group was founded in 1987 in Orlando, just one block from the public square.
Our founders had the vision of dynamic growth and progress that could be experienced by our community. Over the years, the Greenway Automotive Group owns and operates over 65 dealerships, We were even the first to sell cars in Mainland China, that’s the first American Automotive Dealership group to enter into the China market. We have now been operating dealerships in and around Shanghai for over 10 years now.
The history of our Beautiful Rome, Georgia extends through thousands of years of human settlement by ancient Native Americans. Spanish explorers recorded reaching the area in the later 16th century and European Americans of the United States founded the city naming it Rome in 1834, when the residents of the area were still primarily Cherokee, before their removal on the Trail of Tears to Indian Territory. The competition for resources among its diverse inhabitants led to both innovation and strife. Its location at the confluence of three rivers enabled Rome to develop as a crossroads for trade and transportation. The city was later designated as the county seat of Floyd County, Georgia. Today, Rome is the largest city in Northwest Georgia, and is a regional center of healthcare, education, and manufacturing.
Our founders both started in the car business over 20 years ago and run one of the top dealer groups in the Nation. (Top 25) They bought University from Bob Williams who had been in business on 2nd street for over 30 years and moved 10 years ago to the Highway 53 location we proudly call home today!
